In 1922, a Cunard Line ocean liner circled the globe for the first time, bringing guests to the world’s most exotic destinations. Celebrate the 90th anniversary of this elegant tradition on two of the most famous ocean liners in the world, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Elizabeth. Both depart from Southampton on two distinct itineraries on 10 January 2012.
Queen Elizabeth offers her second complete circumnavigation of the globe from her home port of Southampton, crossing the Atlantic en route to New York, with overnight stays in New York, Sydney and Hong Kong. Especially compelling for US and Canadian guests is the option of embarking on their World Voyage experience from New York or San Francisco. Thirteen shorter portions of the full itinerary range from 12 to 77 days, and sail between destinations such as San Francisco and Sydney, New York and Singapore or Sydney and Southampton.
Queen Mary 2 begins her fifth World Voyage in New York sailing the globe to an array of exotic destinations - including her first circumnavigation of Australia and overnight calls in Cape Town, Hong Kong and Dubai. Also available are shorter portions of the full itinerary ranging from 15 to 77 days, with sailings between destinations such as Southampton and Cape Town, Sydney and Hong Kong or Dubai and Southampton.
Whichever Queen you sail upon, you’ll delight in ample time to truly enjoy all a Cunard ocean liner offers you. The Cunard Insights enrichment programme, for example, is award-winning — featuring world-class lecturers and engaging courses in the arts, foreign languages, current events and more. Libraries are filled with intriguing titles and spas await with countless tempting options for unwinding and rejuvenating. You can practice your tee shot on a golf simulator, browse for Cunard memorabilia in the shops or simply settle into a steamer lounge on deck for a good long nap. You’ll quickly discover your own favourite pastimes on board.
